Gracie Barra San Diego - Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu & Muay Thai
Organized like a team, fighting like a family

Gracie Barra Advanced Program:

After four months of training, a typical student will qualify to move up to the Advanced Program–in addition to continued study in the Fundamentals Program. The sixteen week Advanced Program curriculum focuses exclusively on sport Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu wearing the gi, allowing students to further their studies of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu grappling techniques.

In conjunction with ground techniques, students will learn the major and most effective take-downs/throws that will enable them to transition from the standing position to the ground. As previously mentioned, the Advanced Program is more than a series of isolated techniques; the curricula (Fundamental and Advanced Programs) include a unique approach that allows students to understand the links, combinations, and transitions between techniques, thus improving their reaction time and refining their skills. During the Advanced Program, students will discover the strengths and weaknesses in their technical mastery and begin to create their own individualized Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu style.

Prerequisite Courses:

-Successful completion of the Fundamentals Program and three-stripe white belt.

Uniform:

-Gracie Barra Official Gi
